MY TAI is unequivocally my interpretation of Tai Rosso: a spicy wine, with a light red colour, delicate tannins and lots of character. The grapes come from a selection of those in the highest vineyard owned by the winery and the harvest usually takes place in the second half of September.
Tai Rosso is a native grape variety in the Colli Berici but is now becoming increasingly uncommon to find in the area, despite its ability to authentically express the uniqueness of the limestone soil of the Colli Berici. It is an elegant grape that makes up for what it doesn’t have in colour with a fine, spicy character and delicate tannins. It is harvested between the middle and the end of September. Vineyard planted in 2013.
The grapes remain in contact with the skins for about 30 days in steel tanks and are then racked into 15 hl oak barrels for about 8-10 months, before bottling.
My Tai is a wine which is extremely representative of the Colli Berici area.
